Amnesty International
A feature illustration and iconography to accompany Amnesty International’s “Decode Surveillance NYC” campaign (began on 14 April 2021). Decode Surveillance NYC gives people the opportunity to help generate the missing data. Amnesty’s goal is to locate closed circuit TV (CCTV) cameras across New York City. Knowing where cameras are helps Amnesty and its partners understand where FRT can be used. The iconography is used within the mapping to help users identify cameras and to celebrate achievements.
